Thomas Watanabe-Vermorel

Thomas Watanabe-Vermorel , born Vermorel (born October 4, 1978 ), is a French politician of the Parti Pirate (PP). Since March 2014 he has been on the dual leadership of the party executive together with Jérôme Leignadier-Paradon .

Political career

Watanabe-Vermorel joined the Parti Pirate in April 2012.

In the general election in June 2012, he was one of the party's 101 candidates. His deputy was Jean-Sylvain Boige. Watnabe-Vermorel received 6,537 votes (1.24 percent) in his constituency, Paris . He was one of the 25 pirates who were able to pass the required hurdle for reimbursement of election campaign costs.

In March 2014 he was elected to the party leadership. In the 2014 European elections , he took 22nd place in the Parti-Pirate-Sud-Est. The party did not get the necessary votes to send one of its candidates to the European Parliament .

Private

Watanabe-Vermorel studied anthropology with a master’s degree and works as a school teacher. He has been married to Luciana Tie Watanabe since March 2, 2008 and became a father in 2014.
