Thomas Wydler

Thomas Wydler (born October 9, 1959 in Zurich ) is a Swiss musician and has been the drummer for the band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds since 1985 . Before joining the Australian band, he was a member of the experimental rock band Die Haut and appeared in the early 1980s together with Mark Reeder and Human League technician Adrian Wright under the name The Unknowns . Wydler made his first appearance with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds on the record Kicking Against The Pricks and is one of the longest-running members of the band.

Wydler has various side activities, he also works as a singer, drum teacher, composer and produces film music. He has been working with the film director Uli M Schueppel for years , to whose films he often contributed film music and songs. Wydler has a child, named Sturm Silvester Trost, with the singer Annika Line Trost , is married and lives in Berlin.
