Thomas Zotz (puppeteer)

Thomas Zotz (born September 2, 1964 in Marktoberdorf ) is a German actor and founder of a puppet theater .

Life

Thomas Zotz, who comes from the Austro-German entrepreneur, artist and scholarly family Zotz , studied from 1989 to 1992 at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts . He graduated from the puppet theater course in 1992 with a diploma. In the same year he founded the PassParTu theater and began touring internationally.

From 2001 to 2004 Zotz lived in Australia, where he participated in the Australian Children's Puppet Theater Festival in Daylesford and the Melbourne Festival The Puppet and Animatronics Summit . His multimedia play Arrivals premiered in 2003 at the international festival 10 days on the island in Tasmania.

The PassPaTu theater has had a permanent venue in Weinheim an der Bergstrasse since 2005 . Thomas Zotz founded the Weinheim Puppet Theater Festival there .
