Thor 7 is a commercial communications satellite operated by the Scandinavian satellite operator Telenor .

It was placed in geostationary orbit on April 26, 2015 at 20:00 UTC with an Ariane 5 ECA launcher from the Center Spatial Guyanais together with SICRAL 2 .

The three-axis stabilized satellite with 21 Ku-band - and 25 Ka-band - transponders equipped and will supply from the position 0.8 ° West from Europe with broadband services.
