Thraseas
Thraseas († around 160 in Smyrna ) was a Christian martyr and saint .
Thraseas is mentioned in Polykrates of Ephesus and Eusebius of Caesarea . Accordingly, he was bishop in Eumenia in Phrygia . He turned against the Montanists and is mentioned in the Easter dispute as a representative of the Quartodecimans . In Smyrna he was executed as part of the persecution of Christians. According to a letter from Polycrates of Ephesus to the Roman bishop Victor I , martyrdom lies between that of Polycarp of Smyrna (around 155) and that of Sagaris (166/67).
