The Three Brothers Hill (English for Three Brothers Hill ) is a striking and 210 m (according to the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee 195 m ) high hill on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is the remnant of an extinct volcano on the east bank of Potter Cove .
His name is first mentioned in a 1921 report by Scottish geologist David Ferguson of his research on King George Island between 1913 and 1914. The name, which possibly goes back to whalers operating in these waters, is probably descriptive, as the hill has two higher and one slightly lower peaks .
