Throne: Kingdom at War is a massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game for iOS and Android devices that was developed by Plarium and published in 2016. The game is set in a fictional kingdom where players build their own cities and armiesto fight each otherin clan-based battles.

Game principle and technology

The game is set in the fictional kingdom of Amaria, whose ruling monarch has died. The players have to build cities, recruit armies, erect resource buildings, and then go to war. Armies consist of knights, spearmen, cavalry, siege units, scouts and other medieval characters that are used in player versus player (PvP) or player versus environment (PvE) battles . Players can spend resources on studies or on improving research that will improve their cities, armies, and other game elements.

reception

The game was generally well received. Gamezebo's Jennifer Allen writes that Throne “has a pleasant, medieval feel to it,” and “Throne: Kingdom at War gets more interesting when you work together to form alliances and gradually conquer new lands. Fighting is especially fun, even if it takes a while to get that far; You have the feeling of progressing. That motivates you to play a few minutes over and over again throughout the day. ”In January 2017, the user ratings for the game were 4 stars on iTunes and 4.5 stars on Google Play .
