The Thunder Glacier ( English for Thunder Glacier is) a 6 km long cirque glacier , which is located between the Sierra Dufief and the Wall Range east-west orientation on the Wiencke Island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago stretches.
It was discovered during the Belgica expedition (1897-1899) of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery . The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey named it after the thundering avalanche that occurred here when it was surveyed in 1944.
