Thuur Camps

Thuur Camps (born January 7, 1955 in Rijswijk , Netherlands, † May 19, 1988 in Berlin ) was a Dutch painter and graphic artist.

He studied at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin and can be assigned to the directions New / Young Wild, Neo-Expressionism , Violent Painting. The artist, who has lived in Berlin since 1981, died in 1988 at the age of only 33. Thuur Camps left behind a total oeuvre of over 90 pictures in his short creative period. Camps was involved as a graphic designer for the publication Santo Morelli (published in Edition Mariannenpresse , Berlin 1986, ISBN 3-922510-35-3 ).
