Tianjin Huali

Tianjin Huali Motor was an automobile manufacturer from the People's Republic of China .

Company history

The company was based in Tianjin . It belonged to TAIC Holding . The oldest known mention is from 1983. In 1984 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Tianjin , possibly with the addition of Huali . There was a connection with Daihatsu .

According to the company, vehicles have been exported to Uruguay , Argentina , Egypt , Colombia and Italy .

In December 2002 the China FAW Group took over 75% of the shares. The rest remained with the Lion Group from Malaysia. The new company was called FAW Huali (Tianjin) Motor .

Small commercial vehicles were on offer . The TJ110 was built between 1984 and 1989 after a license from the Daihatsu Hijet from 1981–1986.

This was followed by the TJ6350 , TJ6320 and TJ1010 as minivans and TJ1010SL and TJ1013F as pick-ups .

In 1998 the TJ6330 as a minivan and the TJ1010FL and TJ1010FLA as a pick-up added to the range.

The last two model series were in the range until 2002.

Production numbers

In 2000, 11,865 vehicles were produced. In the two following years it was 5966 and 2330.
