Coordinates: 53 ° 33 ′ 28 ″  N , 9 ° 59 ′ 48.1 ″  E The underground bunker Kennedybrücke is a civil defense structure consistingof three shelters in Hamburg between the Kennedy and Lombard bridges .

The systems were built as a replacement structure for the four-tube shelter Ferdinandstor from the Second World War and handed over to the Eimsbüttel district office in 1963 . The old tubular bunker was demolished in the early 1960s and was located under today's cube (gallery of the present) of the Kunsthalle Hamburg .

The underground bunker provides protection for around 200 people, there are 134 seats and 69 berths. The underground bunker is connected to the electricity and water supply as well as the sewage disposal . However, there is no emergency power supply and the systems do not have their own well . In the event of a defense , an intact infrastructure is therefore necessary.
