history

Tiefenbach was first mentioned as Tiephenbach in a document from 1122 . For a long time it was owned by the knight's monastery and former monastery in Odenheim. In 1344 the sovereignty was pledged by the king to that of Sickingen. In the Peace of Lunéville (1803) Tiefenbach fell to Baden.

Tiefenbach was once an independent municipality in the district of Sinsheim and changed to Östringen in the district of Bruchsal on January 1, 1972 , before this - like the district of Sinsheim - was dissolved on January 1, 1973. Since then, Tiefenbach has been part of the Karlsruhe district together with the city of Östringen .
