The deep-sea shrimp (Pandalidae) are a shrimp family from the order of the decapods (Decapoda). They usually lack the scissors on the first pair of legs or are very stunted in only a few species. Many species have luminous organs .

The deep-sea shrimp are of great economic importance. The arctic shrimp ( Pandalus borealis ), Pandulus danae and Pandulus platyceros are caught in the North Atlantic , Plesionika edwardsi in the Mediterranean .
