Tilman Brück

Tilman Brück (born December 10, 1970 in Hamburg ) is a German economist with a focus on development and the economic viability of peace, conflict and terrorism.

He studied at St Cross College of the University of Oxford . He is Professor of Development Economics at the Humboldt University in Berlin and a former head of department at DIW . From 2013 to 2014 he was chairman of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute .

In 2014 he founded the International Security and Development Center based in Berlin. He is also a founding member of the Global Young Academy .
