Tilyenji Kaunda

Tilyenji Kaunda , son of former Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda , is a politician in Zambia .

Tilyenji Kaunda has been chairman of the United National Independence Party founded by his father since 2000 , for which he ran for the presidency in the 2001 election in Zambia and received 10.12 percent of the vote. For the 2006 election in Zambia , he joined the UNIP, the United Democratic Alliance , which received 27 seats in the National Assembly of Zambia . If the UDA presidential candidate, Hakainde Hichilema , had won, he would have become vice-president. His father's political talent is denied him.
