Tim Booth

Timothy John Booth (born February 4, 1960 in Bradford ) is a British singer , dancer and actor . He became known as the singer of the band James .

Career

Booth studied at the University of Manchester , where he met Jim Glennie , Paul Gilbertson and Gilbert Whelan , who were impressed by his skills as a dancer and singer and accepted him as a singer in their band James .

In the 1980s and 1990s the band was successful and released several albums, but there was often quite a turmoil between Booth and Glennie. Booth left the band in October 2001 and released his first solo album Bone in 2004 . He also started taking acting classes. In 2005 he played the role of the deranged killer Victor Zsasz in Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins .

Booth lives near Brighton with his wife and two children .
