Tim Schramm

Tim Schramm (* 1940 ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Life

He studied theology and classical philology in Hamburg and Tübingen . After receiving his doctorate in 1966, he worked as a research assistant in Hamburg and completed his legal clerkship in the school service of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. From 1972 to 2005 he was Professor of the New Testament at the University of Hamburg. He held several visiting professorships and research stays at Temple University in Philadelphia , Indiana University Bloomington and the University of Papua New Guinea .

His research focuses on gospel research, parables of Jesus and hermeneutics of the New Testament, in particular psychological exegesis and bibliodrama .
