Timatic (* 20th century in Nordhorn as Gerardo Güler ) is a German rapper and battlerap artist who became known through the battlerap format JuliensBlogBattle (JBB). So far, he has released an album in his career, entitled Hyäne , which was released in 2019.

Career

In 2015 Timatic took part in Julien Sewering's JuliensBlogBattle for the first time , in which he defeated the battlerapper Rapido , his first opponent, in the round of 16 after the qualification phase . This was followed by the quarter-finals against Johnny Diggson , in which he was defeated and thus eliminated from the regular tournament due to the knockout system . There was only one bonus battle without reaching a ranger against the battle artist EmGi , which he narrowly won, but foregone the prize money due to a verbal argument with Sewering.

In the following year Güler also took part with the pseudonym Timatic at the JuliensMusicCypher, in which commercial music was in the foreground, but was eliminated in the 32nd finals.

In 2017 there was a scandal with his former crew colleague Laskah in the qualification for JBB 2017/18 , whom he accused of stealing text ideas from him. He processes this in his qualification video, which reached over a million views within a very short time. This was followed by the round of 16 against Aylien , the round of 16 against Pac Pacino , the quarter-finals against Gotcha , the semifinals against Clash Parker and the final against Mr Kuchen , in which he emerged as the winner of all. Then the so-called King final took place against EnteTainment , the winner (King) of the previous season, in which he was also able to prevail and thus received the title King of Kings , after his predecessors SpongeBOZZ and Gio .

After winning the tournament in 2018, he released his debut album Hyäne, which reached number 12 in the German album charts. Timatic is a member of the hip-hop crew Neuberlin Soldiers .

Trademark

Güler's trademark is his bandana , which he has been wearing on the lower half of his face since the beginning of his battlerap career at JBB. Originally, he wanted to cover his big cheeks as a result of pulled wisdom teeth for reasons of embarrassment, as he was shooting the music video for his JBB qualification in 2015 at that time. The bandana, however, made him visually very unique and recognizable compared to other candidates, so he decided to wear it for all video productions and is still Guler’s most important trademark next to his artist name.
