Entetainment (* 20th century ; spelling: EnteTainment ) is a German rapper from Bremerhaven . He appears with a duck mask. He gained particular fame through his participation in the video battle tournament (VBT) and Julien's BlogBattle (JBB).

Life

He started his musical career in 2005 under the name Crazy J in the Reimliga Battle Arena . In 2007, he said goodbye to this format. In 2012 he reappeared in connection with the Trill Fingaz crew from Bremerhaven. He now wears a duck mask and often a fisherman's hat and a yellow raincoat and gave himself the name Entetainment. He publishes short clips under the heading Punchlines for the fan base on their YouTube channel . He then appears both solo and with his crew in various video battle formats, including the video battle tournament (VBT) and Julien's blog battle (JBB). In the former he reached the 16-final in 2013, in the latter the quarter-finals in 2014 and in 2015 he won the final against Neo Unleashed.

He then starts uploading music videos to YouTube in horrorcore fashion . In 2015 he won the JBB final against Neo , but lost to Gio in the King final . In 2016 he began recording his debut album , which was to be released on the Major Movez label . At Christmas 2016, the video single Analog / Digital followed on Julien Sewering's video channel. The album Feder Gottes was released on April 7, 2017. On April 14, 2017 it reached number 10 in the German album charts.

In JuliensBlog Battle (JBB) 2017, which ran until the beginning of 2019, Entetainment competed against the winner of the Timatic tournament in the so-called "King Final", which Entetainment however lost in a 5 to 5 point draw, since if there was a tie the candidate who the “Punchlines” category wins. Entetainment's album Teufel Sei Dank was released on March 15, 2019 .

Music genre

At the beginning, entetainment was based on battle rappers like Favorite , JAW and Hollywood Hank . From 2015 he began to incorporate elements of the horror core into his music and texts and shot videos with references to horror films. However, he refuses to belong to this scene. Rather, the new direction is derived from his preference for horror films, especially the classics of the genre, including some splatter works by Italian directors Lucio Fulci and Dario Argento .
