  • Dr. Love , Dr. Frost , most recently Dr. Hollywood (his pseudonym in the era of the Rhyme League Battle Arena )

Life

Pingel grew up with his parents in the Berlin district of Prenzlauer Berg together with two sisters . His exact date of birth is not known; According to older forum posts and the demo recording of the Discovery Channel song , he was born on September 16, 1985 . Pingel says he had a happy childhood. When he was twelve, Pingel moved to Oderwitz , where he came into contact with hip-hop for the first time . Inspired by rappers like Samy Deluxe , Absolute Beginner , Torch , he and friends took part in various freestyle battles under the name "Fat Flash" . At the age of 13, Pingel recorded his first songs with a friend; he produced the music himself with the music program Magix Music Maker . Meanwhile, Pingel suffered from depression . At the age of about 15 he began to take drugs , which caused him to develop anxiety psychosis and went into therapy for six months.

In 2003 he founded “Project Alzheimer” with Johnny Flexxx. In the same year the group released the album Nur ein attempt , which at first was only passed on to friends and three years later was re-released by the label "Rapz-Records".

In 2004 Pingel trained as an occupational therapist.

By participating in the Reimliga Battle Arena , the East German independent label "Rapz-Records" noticed him and signed him in 2006. His debut album Sociopath was released in the same year . In addition to his psychopath figure, he also addressed personal issues in the album, e.g. B. on the song Ostdeutschland , which is about the negative circumstances in the new federal states . The features on the album included JAW , Disslinie , Porta One, Rikz, Donjohn, Kitty Kaffein, Persteasy , Crusoe and Dima Richman. After Pingel had separated from "Rapz-Records", the independent label Selfmade Records acquired the rights for sociopath in 2011 .

After Pingel's first solo album, he hardly appeared at all, apart from the publication of a few free tracks on the website rappers.in and guest appearances on various JAW publications. After a guest appearance on the album Anarcho by the Essen rapper Favorite , the two released a collaborative mixtape called Beats for Hip Hop in 2008 , which was only available in the self-made records shop and was published in a limited edition. The tape was sold out two weeks before its official release. The 257ers and JAW were represented as features . Due to the positive feedback, both rappers went on the sick tour , which included a total of twelve cities.

In 2009 his previous contract with the Rapz-Records label was canceled. In the same year, the second release of the newly founded Freiburg label Weisse Scheiße was the EP Menschenfeind in collaboration with his long-time friend JAW . Features included Adolph Ghandi, Rahzkroneprinz, Private Paul, Mach One and Favorite . The hip-hop magazine Juice explained Misanthrope in July 2009 in its section Homegrown for "collabo album of the month".

Shortly afterwards Pingel actively stopped the music. In March 2012, Selfmade Records reported that the rapper was in jail.

In 2014 Pingel returned under the new pseudonym Bak Ta Ehli and released new tracks. On these, the former “misanthropist” calls for the fight against fascism, sexism and right-wing radicalism. Just a week after his first new tracks, he disappeared from the public for an indefinite period.

style

Hollywood Hank is best known for his punchlines, raw music, doubletime rap technique, and varied voice. The rapper's lyrics can be assigned to the genre of battle rap . Hank is violent to mentally disturbed. He describes his drug use, perverse sexual preferences such as B. sodomy or necrophilia , godlessness and a sexist attitude that glorifies violence. The hip-hop musician processes these non-conformist topics in allusions and puns, so-called punchlines. The rapper also alludes to National Socialism in terms of verses like “God sent me because Hitler was too friendly”, “Bitch something, I'm Hitler's son” and “I am Hitler you farmer” or “You should better land win as the NSDAP “becomes clear. German rappers and German rap in general are frequent enemy images in his texts.

As Bak Ta Ehli, the artist describes himself as a peace activist and calls for the fight against fascism, sexism and right-wing radicalism in his texts, as well as in forums and social networks.

Pingel was also in the Reimliga Battle Arena (RBA for short) under the name of Dr. Hollywood known and is ranked 10th in the best battle (against KiaR) of all time. He played in the MCs Advanced league and has a total of 678 points.
