Time Riders (book series)
Time Riders is a science fiction novel series written by British author Alex Scarrow . Aimed at a youthful audience, the series is about three teenagers - Liam, Sal and Maddy - who travel back in time . Thienemann Verlag has published nine volumes in English so far and five in German since 2012 .
main characters
The main characters of the books are the teenagers Liam, Maddy and Sal, who should actually be dead. But they were saved at the last second and from 2001 they travel through time as agents of a secret organization to protect the world from other time travelers:
- Liam O'Connor: It's a bit old-fashioned, but that's because it dates back to 1912. He was supposed to go down with the Titanic . He's very nice, just a real gentleman. He always travels into the past with a support unit to put history in order.
- Maddy Carter: It was from 2010 and is therefore very knowledgeable about computers. Maddy was said to be killed in a plane crash in 2010. She is the leader of the group, which she sometimes dislikes, especially with secrets. She still has to tell Liam that time travel is aging him.
- Saleena Vikram: Sal is the baby of the group. She is the youngest, but very intelligent. Your job is to walk through New York every day and find out if anything has changed. She can tell every little difference, even posters or when a single person is missing. In addition, she is the only one who usually notices when time leaps occur. Then she gets dizzy. Sal is very lively and wants to try everything.

Time Riders - Deadly Hunt

Liam gets into the dinosaur era through an accident. There he tries to survive with other young people. Meanwhile, Maddy and Sal try to bring Liam back from the past. Liam has a support unit with her to help. A suportunit is a robot that works like a human (it also has blood). The suportunit is called Becks and was programmed so that as few traces of the past as possible are visible in the future.
Time Riders - The Pandora Code

Maddy tries to find out what the Pandora code is. Therefore Liam travels with a new Bob (see Volume 1) and Beck (female suportunit) to the year 1192. There he searches for traces in a monastery. Meanwhile, in 2001, Maddy and Sal have the support of a scientist who tells them all about the Middle Ages.
Time Riders - Behind enemy lines

Abraham Lincoln arrives with Liam in 2001 (after Liam saved his life). This causes great chaos in history as there is now no President Lincoln and the Civil War has never stopped. That is, the three time travelers are between the fronts as they are not helping either side. Maddy wants to negotiate a truce. Liam and Sal try to protect Lincoln so they can send him back.
Time Riders - Exodus Project

This time they are in Rome and they meet Macro and Cato. Macro and Cato are the heroes of Simon Scarrow's Adler series . Liam and co. get along great with Macro and Cato. Unfortunately there is one problem: All of the Time Riders operations center have traveled back in time. Who is left behind?
