history

Beutengrund belonged to the Neuroder district in the county of Glatz , which until 1763 belonged directly to Bohemia . It was on the border with the Principality of Schweidnitz and was first mentioned in 1561 with an army in the Beutengrund . In 1598 it was owned by Heinrich d. Ä. from Stillfried auf Neurode, who this year, along with other goods, prescribed it to his son Bernhard. Ecclesiastically it was parish to Königswalde . In addition to agriculture, handicrafts and home weaving were of economic importance. After the First Silesian War in 1742 and finally after the Peace of Hubertusburg in 1763, it came to Prussia together with the County of Glatz . After the reorganization of Prussia, it belonged to the province of Silesia from 1815 , which was divided into districts. The district of Glatz was responsible from 1816–1853, and the district of Neurode from 1854–1932 . After its dissolution in 1933, Beutengrund again belonged to the district of Glatz until 1945. Since 1874, the rural community of Beutengrund has formed the administrative district of Königswalde together with the rural communities of Königswalde, Markgrund and Vierhöfe . There was an economic boom at the beginning of the 1880s with the connection to the Waldenburg – Glatz railway line , where Beutengrund was given a breakpoint. In 1939 Beutengrund consisted of 857 residents.

As a result of the Second World War , Beutengrund was placed under Polish administration in 1945, like most of Silesia , and renamed Bartnica . Unless they had fled before, the German population was largely expelled in 1946 . Some of the new residents were displaced from eastern Poland . 1975-1998 Bartnica belonged to the Wałbrzych Voivodeship (German Waldenburg ).
