Timo von Oertzen

Timo von Oertzen (born August 8, 1975 ) is a German psychologist .

Life

From 1999 to 2002 he was a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation . From 1997 to 2002 he studied psychology at Saarland University and from 1997 to 1999 computer science there. After completing his doctorate (1999–2002) in computer science at the Saarland University , he was a research assistant at the Chair of Algebraic Geometry and Computer Algebra, Mathematics Department, Saarland University from 2002 to 2005 . From 2006 to 2010 he was project manager for formal methods at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development . From 2011 to 2015, he was Assistant Professor of Quantitative Psychology at the University of Virginia . Since 2016 he has been teaching as a university professor for methodology and evaluation at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich

His main research interests are power equivalence in structural equation models, software development for data analysis: Onyx and machine learning in psychology.
