Karl-Heinz Renner

Karl-Heinz Renner (* 1965 ) is a German psychologist .

Life

He completed his studies in psychology, sociology and philosophy at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg (1987-1994) with a doctorate (2000) and habilitation (2006). From 1990 to 1993 he was a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation . From 1994 to 2007 he was a research assistant , assistant and academic senior counselor at the chair for personality psychology and psychological diagnostics in Bamberg . From 1997 to 2002 he was a member of the DFG priority program "Theatricality". From 2003 to 2005 he was a visiting scientist in the DFG research group “New Media in Everyday Life” at the TU Chemnitz . From 2007 to 2013 he taught as a university professor for psychology, head of the department of psychological methodology, diagnostics and evaluation at the FernUniversität in Hagen . Since 2013 he has been a university professor for differential and diagnostic psychology at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich . Since 2016, the denomination University Professor for Personality Psychology and Psychological Diagnostics has been changed. Since 2018 he has been the Dean of Studies of the Faculty of Human Sciences at the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich .

His main research interests are stress and coping, (social) anxiety, self-expression and personality, differential-psychological and diagnostic aspects of internet use, theoretical and interdisciplinary perspectives: critical personalism ( William Stern ), constructivism, performance and theatricality.
