The Timok Cove (English; Bulgarian залив Тимок saliw Timok ) is a 580 m wide and 400 m long bay on the north coast of Rugged Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located west of Simitli Point .
British scientists mapped it in 1968, Spanish in 1992 and Bulgarian in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2006 after the Timok River in northwestern Bulgaria .
