Timothy B. Spahr

Timothy "Tim" Bruce Spahr (* 1970 ) is an American astronomer .

Spahr worked from 2000 to 2015 as director of the Minor Planet Center at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics . He discovered numerous asteroids between 1993 and 2002 and was involved in the discovery of several small moons on the planets Jupiter and Saturn , including Callirrhoe and Albiorix .

The asteroid (2975) Spahr bears his name . In the meantime, various comets that he (co-) discovered have been named after him.
