Timothy J. Jansen

Timothy J. Jansen (born November 1, 1964 in St. Louis / Missouri ) is an American composer, organist, pianist and music teacher.

Jansen studied music at the New England Conservatory of Music and the St. Louis Conservatory and School for the Arts . His teachers included Jane Allen , Daniel Schene , John Ditto , James David Christe , Daniel Pinkham and William Partridge . He is a member of the American Guild of Organists , for which he gave concerts, workshops and master classes. a. hosted with Simon Preston and Olivier Latry . He appears as a pianist and organist and played at concerts a. a. in the Sheldon Concert Hall and the cathedral of Christ Church works such as Samuel Barber's Piano Sonata and César Franck's Grande pièce symphonique .

As a composer, Jansen emerged with church music works such as A Psalm for Christmas , Psalm 104 and the Canticle: Revelations 15:34 , a work that was premiered on the occasion of the Pope's visit in 1999 in the Cathedral of St. Louis. He is music director at St. Norbert Church in Florissant.
