The Tindal Bluff is a 800 m high rock cliff at the Foyn coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It looms between the mouth of the Fricker Glacier and Monnier Point on the banks of Mill Inlet .
Aerial photographs were taken during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941), the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) and by the United States Navy in 1968. Scientists from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys between 1947 and 1948. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the cliff in 1975 after Ronald Tindal (* 1940) of the British Antarctic Survey , who was involved in exploring the Larsen Ice Shelf between 1963 and 1964 .
