Tinea imbricata

Tinea imbricata (Syn .: Tokelau , Trichophytia corporis superficialis , oriental lichen , Indian lichen , Chinese lichen , Tamana , Tinea circinata tropicalis , Gugo ) is a dermatophytosis of the body, i.e. a special form of tinea corporis , which is characterized by cocardike foci . It occurs in Indochina , Africa and South America. Disease triggers are dermatophytes , mostly Trichophyton concentricum .

The fungal disease usually shows up as brownish, scaly, round spots that are itchy. The spread occurs in the periphery of the skin lesion.

Treatment is usually done locally with antifungal agents .
