The Tinsulanon Stadium ( Thai : สนาม กีฬา ติณ สู ลา นนท์ ) is a multifunctional stadium in the Thai city of Songkhla , Thailand . Like most stadiums in Thailand, it has a tartan track . It is floodlit and has natural grass. It meets international standards. The game for third place in the 1998 Asian Games was played in the stadium . Two years later, Group B games of the ASEAN football championship were played in the stadium. Today the stadium serves mainly as the home ground of FC Songkhla .
The stadium is named after the politician and general Prem Tinsulanonda (1920–2019), who was born in Songkhla.
