Tiphia minuta is a hymenoptera fromthe wasps family (Tiphiidae).
features
The wasps have a body length of 5 to 7 millimeters. They are colored black. The thighs ( femora ) of the two rear pairs of legs are more thickened in females than in males. The splints ( tibia ) are thorny. The forewings have two discoidal cells and usually two cubital cells, but sometimes only one. The stigma is semicircular. On the first tergite there is a matt, wrinkled band in front of the rear edge, which is not noticeably dotted.
Occurrence and way of life
The species is common in Europe. It flies from late May to late August. It is not known which species parasitize the larvae .
