The Tirol-Choco ( Jap . チロルチョコ , Chiroruchoko ) is a Japanese candy company of the same name.

Tirol Chocolate, Japan, September 2018

The Tirol brand came onto the market in 1937. The first products were chocolates with a coffee nougat flavor. By 2013, over 350 flavors had been launched. The chocolate brand also makes individualized products that can be put together and ordered online directly by the end consumer .

The name was chosen because the founder looked around on a map for the Alps - his first association with chocolate. He liked the name "Tyrol".

In June 2002, 130 company employees spent a weekend in Buchen near Telfs to celebrate the company's 100th anniversary. The company boss Toshikhiko Matsuo (son of the company founder) was named "Friendship Ambassador of Tyrol in Japan".
