Bård Amadeus Finne (born February 13, 1995 in Bergen ) is a Norwegian football player who has been under contract with the Norwegian first division club Vålerenga Oslo since February 2017 .
Career
His family comes from the winter sports resort Voss , which is why Finn became enthusiastic about cross-country skiing as a teenager. Although he grew up in Bergen, 100 km away, he competed in various cross-country competitions for Voss IL. His greatest achievement was winning the regional championship.
At the age of twelve he decided to quit cross-country skiing under competition regulations and to concentrate fully on the sport of football. In 2009, Finne, who lived near the Brann Stadium , moved from his youth club Nymark IL to the youth department of Brann Bergen . The striker quickly drew attention to himself through good performances; so the Dutch first division club NEC Nijmegen and the Molde FK , who was coached by the Norwegian football legend Ole Gunnar Solskjær , were interested in him. In the end, however, he decided to stay with Brann Bergen, with whom he signed his first professional contract in September 2012. He made his debut in the Tippeligaen in a 2-0 home win against Fredrikstad FK when Fredrik Nordkvelle came on in the 88th minute . On September 23, 2012, he scored his first two goals in the Norwegian elite class. In the 2-1 win over rivals Rosenborg Trondheim , Finne came on for Kim Ojo with seven minutes left and scored the two decisive goals. After further good performances he was dubbed “the fox in the box” by the press at the end of the season.
In June 2013, Finne refused to extend his expiring contract; he wanted to leave the club either in the summer or at the end of the year to move abroad. The audience reacted with whistles and boos on the following day of the game against Sandnes Ulf , when the Finn came on for Martin Pusic . The striker then scored a hat trick and set up another goal in the 6-1 win.
In August 2013, 1. FC Köln signed him on January 1, 2014. Finne made a free transfer and signed a contract until June 30, 2017. He scored his first goal on March 30, 2014 in the game against TSV 1860 Munich when he marked the 1-0 winning goal in the 85th minute of the game.
On January 15, 2016, Bard Finne moved from 1. FC Cologne to 1. FC Heidenheim . The Norwegian signed a contract with the second division team until June 30, 2018.
On February 24, 2017, he moved to Vålerenga Oslo in Norway at his own request .
