Titular diocese of Astypalaea
Astypalaea ( Italian : Astipalea ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to an earlier bishopric on the island of Astypalea , one of the southern Sporades in the Aegean Sea, which belonged to the Roman province of Insulae in late antiquity . The diocese belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Rhodes .
