Titular diocese of Grass Valley

The Diocese of Grass Valley is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .

On September 27, 1860 , the Vicariate Apostolic Marysville was founded from areas of the Archdiocese of San Francisco (USA) , which was elevated to the Diocese of Grass Valley on March 22, 1868 . It belonged to the ecclesiastical province of San Francisco and was repealed on May 28, 1886 . In its place came the Diocese of Sacramento , along with other areas of the Diocese of San Francisco .
