Titus Statilius Maximus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Titus Statilius Maximus was a 2nd century Roman politician and senator .

Maximus was probably a son of Titus Statilius Maximus Severus Hadrianus , suffect consul approx. 117. A military diploma dated February 23, 144, shows that he and Lucius Hedius Rufus Lollianus Avitus were ordinary consul in 144 .

The senatorial family of the Statilii Maximi , which belonged to the consular families since Titus Statilius Maximus Severus Hadrianus, seems to come from Syria , since a Titus Statilius Maximus Severus was the patronus of Heliopolis .

The consul of the year 171, Titus Statilius Severus , was probably his son.
