Tlhomphang Basele (born February 28, 2000 ) is a Botswana athlete who competes in the sprint and specializes in the 400 meter distance .

Athletic career

Tlhomphang Basele gained her first international experience in 2017 at the U18 World Championships in Nairobi , where she was eliminated in the mixed relay with 3: 33.42 minutes in the preliminary round. Shortly thereafter, she took part in the 400-meter run at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Nassau and was eliminated there with 58.46 seconds in the lead. In 2019 she was eliminated from the Africa Games in Rabat with 57.00 s in the first round and won the silver medal behind Nigeria in the Botswana 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 31.96 min.

In 2019, Basele became the Botswana champion in the 400-meter run.
