history

In the Billboard Hot 100 , the song very quickly hit the top 40 with the highest position at number 24 and ended at number 37 in August 1997, in Great Britain the chart entry took place in September 1997. Truly Madly Deeply later became in the United States more successful and broke the sales success of the band there. The song was released on November 18, 1996 and became a number one hit in Australia, with a re-release in 1998.
