To the Struggle Against World Terrorism ( German : For struggle / the effort against terrorism ), also known as Tear of Grief ( Tear of Grief ) or Tear Drop Memorial , is the name of a memorial sculpture in Bayonne in the United States .

The work is by Zurab Tsereteli and was a gift from the Russian government to the United States in memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993 . The Tear Drop Memorial was unveiled during a ceremony on September 11, 2006 in the presence of Vladimir Putin and Bill Clinton .
The memorial is 30 meters high and made of steel and bronze. In the middle of the work of art is the approx. 12 m large replica of a steel teardrop. At the foot there are granite slabs on which the names of the victims of the terrorist attacks are engraved.
