The tobaccoland Handels GmbH & Co KG is a wholesale company based in Vienna. Tobaccoland Austria is the market leader in Austrian tobacco wholesale. It was founded in 1995 from the former sales division of Austria Tabak and was at that time the first independent wholesaler on the tobacco market. Tobaccoland Austria operates as an independent company within the JTI Group and, according to its own information, supplies almost 6,300 tobacco shops across Austria with everyday items. Manfred Knapp has been the managing director since February 2009. Since the summer of 2007, the sales and trade marketing division has been headed by the second managing director, Mag. Pablo Di Biase.
Products
Tobaccoland's range of products includes tobacco products such as cigarettes , cigars and other tobacco products, as well as special items such as e-loading telephone cards, motorway vignettes, service checks (DLS) and soft drinks.
The head office in Vienna also includes a cash & carry shop. Tobaccoland Austria's turnover is made up of 75% tobacco products and 25% from specialty items.
