Tobias Eberlin

Tobias Eberlin (* approx. 1590 in Ulm ; † 1671 there ) was a German organist .

Life

Eberlin was the son of the Ulm city piper Jörg Eberlin, who came from Memmingen. In 1605 he was employed as the town piper of the free imperial city of Ulm . He was also the deputy of the Ulm Minster organist Adam Steigleder and finally his successor in 1634. Eberlin's daughter was married to the Ulm musician Sebastian Anton Scherer . After Eberlin's death in 1671, he took over the post of cathedral cantor.
