history

The band was formed in December 1998 by the brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes in San Diego , California under the name Early Times . The two musicians were supported by Joe Tancil and Mitchell Ballatore. The group had to change its name due to copyright infringement . The four musicians decided to call the group Before Today . However, the Early Times released a song with 5.9 , which achieved cult status in fan circles.

On January 16, 2004 it was announced that the American label Equal Vision Records Before Today had taken under a record deal. The quartet's debut album, A Celebration of an Ending , was released on September 21, 2004 . It was to remain the only album of the group until the group split up in autumn 2006.

After Before Today ended, Mike and Vic Fuentes formed Pierce the Veil in 2007 . The two later joined Jaime Preciado ( electric bass ) and Tony Perry ( electric guitar ) - both from Trigger My Nightmare - as musicians.
