Tony Perry (born February 25, 1986 in Tijuana , Municipio Tijuana , Mexico ) is an American rock musician.

Career

Before Tony Perry as a guitarist at Pierce the Veil joined, he played guitar in the metalcore band Trigger My Nightmare from San Diego . There he played with Jaime Preciado , the current bassist and background singer Pierce the Veils. With Pierce the Veil, Perry released all four studio albums with A Flair for the Dramatic (2007), Selfish Machines (2010), Collide with the Sky (2012) and Misadventures (2016), three of which made it into the US charts , as well as several Singles and music videos.

Together with the former Of Mice & Men musician Jaxin Hall, Tony Perry has been running his own fashion label called Key Street since 2013 . In an interview with The Aquarian newspaper , the musicians said that some of them started playing music professionally at the age of 15.

One week before the start of the Warped Tour in June 2015, Perry was injured so badly after a mountain bike accident that he missed the entire festival tour . He still played on the tour in San Diego on the premises of the Qualcomm Stadium , as well as at the awards ceremony of the Alternative Press Music Awards 2015 in Cleveland , Ohio, although the doctors advised against it. He was nominated for the Best Guitarist category at the awards and won the award.

Together with the other colleagues from Pierce the Veil , Perry campaigned for animal rights on several occasions. For some time they supported the animal welfare organization PETA2 . He's a vegetarian .

• In a 2009 interview, Tony Perry shared that he is not a friend of the Warped Tour . In 2008, the group played a show on the concert tour, but it was miserable. He announced that he no longer wanted to play on the tour. However, the group performed again on the Warped Tour in 2010 and 2012.
• Perry is nicknamed "Turtle" in fan circles. This is because the turtle is his favorite animal.
• Perry can solve a Rubik's cube in less than two minutes.
