The The World Tour was a seven-month concert tour of the US post-hardcore -Bands Pierce the Veil and Sleeping with Sirens . Pierce the Veil was to use this tour to promote his fourth studio album, originally scheduled for 2015, while Sleeping with Sirens presented first new songs from their fourth album, Madness . Start was on November 5, 2014 in Fresno , California . After 70 concerts, the joint tour ended on April 11, 2015 with a performance in London , United Kingdom .

Background and course of the tour

On July 21, 2014, Vic Fuentes and Kellin Quinn announced a joint world tour for Pierce the Veil and Sleeping with Sirens . The first part of the concert tour took place in the United States between November 5, 2014 and December 6, 2014 . Beartooth and This Wild Life were confirmed as opening acts for the first part of the tour, which included 21 concerts . On July 28, 2014, it was confirmed that the groups would be playing at Mega Fest Detroit along with Our Last Night , The Color Morale , The Word Alive , The Dead Rabbitts and Miss Fortune .

One month later, on August 22, 2014, the next section of the world tour was announced. This section took place between March 20, 2015 and April 11, 2015 in Europe with stops in the United Kingdom , Germany , Sweden , Belgium and the Netherlands . However, support was not announced with this announcement. The musicians said to the Kerrang! that this tour is the first concert tour together in this large dimension.

Jack Fowler of Sleeping with Sirens added in an interview that the concert is what fans of both groups wanted, as many wanted both groups to tour together on a global level. He also said that the two lead singers came up with the idea of ​​starting a co-headlining tour through a joint conversation.

On September 30, 2014, another section of the world tour was announced. It took place between the first North America part and the Europe part of the tour. It was the second part of the North American tour, which included 30 concerts between January 23, 2015 and March 4, 2015. One day later, TeamRock announced Radio Issues as the opening act for the UK section of the tour, and it has meanwhile been announced that the group would also play the concerts on mainland Europe. For the second tour section, the bands Mallory Knox from the United Kingdom and PVRIS were announced on November 10, 2014 . On November 25, 2014, Pierce the Veil was announced in the first wave of announcements for the sister festivals Reading and Leeds , which the group will perform for the first time in 2015. Twelve of the first 21 concerts in the United States were completely sold out. In Europe, two concerts, one in Amsterdam and one in Bristol, were completely sold out. The concert on March 27, 2015 in Cologne has meanwhile been moved from the Essigfabrik to the larger E-Werk . In the meantime it has been announced that roughly half of the European tour - mainly in the UK - is sold out.   • Because recording and correcting the vocal tracks of Vic Fuentes took two more months of studio time, he had to take the recording equipment with him on the first section of the world tour and carry out further work on the album in the tour bus.
