The SelfHelp Fest (or Self Help Fest ) is a festival organized by the musicians of the band A Day to Remember in cooperation with several concert agencies.
history
On December 18, 2013, A Day to Remember announced that they would like to organize their own music festival. A lineup was co-released with this announcement. In addition to A Day to Remember, Bring Me the Horizon , Of Mice & Men , letlive , Attila , Memphis May Fire , Stick to Your Guns and other acts from the hardcore, punk and rock scene also played. The first festival was held on March 22, 2014 at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino , California and was attended by 12,000 spectators. Another edition of the Eastern United States Festival was organized on October 4, 2014. This took place in Philadelphia at the Festival Pier. They included Motionless in White , Chiodos , The Wonder Years , The Story So Far and Gnarwolves . More than 5,000 visitors attended the festival.
For March 7, 2015, the lineup and location of the third SelfHelp Festival was announced on December 22, 2014. It took place again at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino. Pierce the Veil and Sleeping with Sirens were confirmed as headliners, and they completed their joint world tour during this period . Other groups announced included Whitechapel , Stick to Your Guns, The Ghost Inside , Real Friends , The Amity Affliction and The Devil Wears Prada .
On August 17, 2015, the first artists for the fourth edition of the festival were announced. In addition to A Day to Remember, which appear annually as headliners (except in 2015), August Burns Red , Issues , Tonight Alive and letlive , two groups were also announced that reunited after a break of several years, Underoath and Further Seems Forever . While Underoath will play their first concert after the reorganization of the band, Further Seems Forever will play in the band that existed at the time of the release of the second studio album How to Start a Fire . At the end of December 2015, four more bands were confirmed for the music festival.
