Real Friends is an American pop-punk band from Chicago that has existed since 2010.

history

Real Friends was founded in 2010 by Kyle Fasel and Dave Knox in Chicago. The first five EPs were self-distributed, but Real Friends quickly became popular worldwide. According to the band, the blogging platform Tumblr was particularly important for this. Released for the first time on a label, the EP Put Yourself Together was released in 2013 via Banquet Records . Real Friends signed with Fearless Records in December 2013 . On August 1, 2014 her debut album Maybe This Place Is The Same Place And We're Just Changing was released there .

Real Friends played on the Vans Warped Tour in 2013 and 2014 .

Her second studio album The Home Inside Your Head was released in 2016 and Composure in 2018 .

In February 2020, the band split from singer Dan Lambton.
