Our Last Night is a post-hardcore band from Hollis , New Hampshire , United States , formed in 2004 .

history

The group was founded in early 2004. After various changes within the band, a constant formation did not come together until 2006. This consisted of Trevor Wentworth ( vocals ), Matt Wentworth (vocals, electric guitar ), Collin Perry (electric guitar), Alex Woodrow ( electric bass ) and Tim Molloy ( drums ). The EPs We've Been Holding Back and Building Cities from Scratch were released in 2004 and 2005 respectively. As a result, Brett Gurewitz , the owner of the label Epitaph Records , became aware of the band, the record deal followed in August 2007. On March 4, 2008, the debut album The Ghosts Among Us was released .

At the end of 2008 the group moved into the studio in Los Angeles to work on the second album with Andrew Wade . Wade worked with A Day to Remember and VersaEmerge . The album We Will All Evolve was released on May 4, 2010. In May the group toured with We Came as Romans , From First to Last and Asking Alexandria .

In February 2011 the group played their first concert tour in Japan. A US headliner tour followed in March 2011, during which the band was accompanied by Attila , Vanna , Across the Sun and Arsonists Get All the Girls . This tour was called the Young & Restless Tour . In February 2012, the group played the Leave It 2 ​​The Suits tour with I See Stars , Stick to Your Guns , Memphis May Fire and Make Me Famous .

August 2012, Age of Ignorance, was the group's third studio album. It debuted at number 179 on the US charts . One week before the concert tour with I Set My Friends on Fire , which started on July 13, 2012, Collin Perry left the group. In May 2013 the group supported Sleeping with Sirens on their concert tour through the UK . Also, The Word Alive were seen on this tour.

After three albums were released via Epitaph Records , the musicians decided to make music on their own again. The group launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo that was hugely successful. For the entire summer, the group published videos of cover pieces under the A Summer Of Covers campaign . Among others, Skyfall by Adele , Radioactive by Imagine Dragons and Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus have been covered . In the latter video, the group announced the name of the EP and its release date.

The EP Oak Island (2013) entered the US charts at number 182. In November of the same year, the band played on the Feel This Tour with Breathe Carolina and Issues as the opening act for Sleeping with Sirens on a concert tour through the United States. In 2014 the group toured Europe promoting their EP. The group was accompanied by Secrets and Empires Fade .

The fourth studio album Younger Dreams was released in 2015. In April, the group embarked on a world tour, accompanied by the post-hardcore band Palisades , in Novosibirsk , Russia . The section in Europe ended after 36 concerts with first trips to Belarus , Spain and Portugal on May 27, 2015 in Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg). From June 19 to August 8, 2015, the band took part in the entire Warped Tour .

In early 2016, Our Last Night covered other songs, including pieces by Twenty One Pilots , Justin Bieber and Zara Larsson . A tour through Europe and South America followed in summer 2016. In addition, the band organized the project Decades of Covers , in which a piece from a decade from the 1960s was covered, including a. a. Works by the Beatles , Eagles and U2 .

In November and December the group played the face to face tour in the United States. The musicians were accompanied by Hands Like Houses , The Color Morale and Out Came The Wolves.

On June 9, 2017, the EP Selective Hearing was released, which contains seven songs. The subsequent tour took the band through North America and Europe. The band was accompanied by Blessthefall and New Volume.

The group's fifth studio album, Let Light Overcome , was released on March 8, 2019 . On February 7, 2019, the album's first single, Demons, was released.
