I See Stars is a post-hardcore band from Warren , Michigan , founded in 2005. Your music is accompanied by trance elements, which is why the music style can also be assigned to trancecore .

history

The two albums 3-D (2009) and The End of the World Party (2011) were released on Sumerian Records . Before that, an EP called Green Light, Go! (2007) independently. Both 3-D and The End of the World Party each made chart entries in the American charts .

I See Stars currently consist of Devin Oliver ( vocals ), Brent Allen ( guitar ), Jimmy Gregerson (guitar), Jeff Valentine ( bass ), Andrew Oliver ( drums ) and Zach Johnson ( keyboards , vocals). Johnson was replaced in 2009 by Chris Moore, who also played in We Came as Romans . Johnson returned to the group a year later.

The group toured with The Word Alive , Madina Lake and Silverstein in October 2009 . I See Stars also played with Attack Attack! , Breathe Carolina , Asking Alexandria and Bury Tomorrow as part of the “The Artery Foundation Across the Nation Tour”, which ran across the United States between March 3, 2010 and April 4, 2010 .

Also in 2012 the band went on a European tour with The Word Alive , For the Fallen Dreams and Upon a Burning Body . In September the band's musicians and crew were arrested for drug abuse .

In spring 2013 they recorded a cover of the Bane song's Can We Start Again with Tim Lambesis from As I Lay Dying , Mattie Montgomery from the Christian metalcore band For Today and Emmure 's Frankie Palmeri . On October 22, 2013, the band released their fourth album New Demons .

The album Treehouse followed on June 17, 2016 .
