Madina Lake is a four-piece pop-punk / post-hardcore band from Chicago , Illinois .

history

Madina Lake was founded in 2005 by singer Nathan Leone, twin brother and bassist Matthew Leone, guitarist Mateo Camargo, and drummer Dan Torelli.

The band signed a contract with the record label Roadrunner Records in August 2005 . Her debut album From Them, Through Us, to You was released on March 27, 2007, produced by Mark Trombino. A tour with Firescape, Fightstar and Emanuel followed. Madina Lake also toured (at different times) with bands like the Gym Class Heroes , Papa Roach and Paramore .

Actually they had agreed to play on the Warped Tour 2007, but canceled again to play on the "second stage" of the Project Revolution Tour 2007 with bands like Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance . Linkin Park themselves chose Madina Lake.

In 2007 the band won the Kerrang! Award in the “Best International Newcomer” category. They also made the front page of the British music magazine "Rock Sound" and the German MTV-TRL voting list.

They toured Europe in January 2008 and then toured with Coheed and Cambria , Fightstar and Circa Survive . In February 2008 they played at the Australian Soundwave Festival alongside bands like The Offspring and Incubus . Then Madina Lake toured with Aiden in the USA and then in Australia.

Their new album Attics to Eden was released in April 2009 and the song Never Take Us Alive is also included in the full version and demo of the rally racing game Colin McRae: DiRT 2 . In October 2009 they played in the opening act for Papa Roach on their European tour.
