The Essigfabrik are event halls in the Deutz district of Cologne .

history

Its name comes from the earlier use as a production site for vinegar and wine vinegar , which was operated here since July 1, 1913 under the company "Max Spiegelberg". The buildings are located directly on the Deutzer Hafen (Siegburger Straße 110). Since 1997, the operator of the vinegar factory, moStar Promotion GmbH, has also been an entrepreneur in the event industry. The site with two halls with a total of 850 m² event space can hold a maximum of 1200 visitors. The larger hall (“1”) alone has 635 square meters and can accommodate a good 800 spectators. As part of the planned conversion of the Deutzer Hafen into a new residential area , it is planned to integrate the concert hall of the old vinegar factory into it.
